RON NIXON

Ron Nixon, a Houston native, is an entrepreneur, engineer, and investor with deep roots in Texas industry and education. After earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin’s Cockrell School, he began his career with TRW Mission Manufacturing.  Shortly thereafter, he founded a centrifugal pump manufacturing company, which later became part of National Oilwell Varco, and is a Distinguished Alumni in the Mechanical Engineering at UT.

 

Ron co-founded The Catalyst Group, a Houston and Austin based private investment firm providing expansion capital to middle-market companies. Catalyst has managed nine investment funds and completed more than 100+ transactions across 70+ industries.

 

Today, Ron serves on several private and public company boards, including Sanara Medtech, Inc., Next Level Urgent Care, Superior Plant Rentals, Axio Energy Services, as well as several family boards.
